"The contribution deals with the pyrolysis of compost made from nine energy crops under the same process conditions: 0.5 g samples of material were pyrolysed in the nitrogen atmosphere; the final temperature of pyrolysis process was set at 700 \u00B0C, and the experiments took 172 minutes. This research was focused on pyrolytic gas analysis. Predominant compounds of pyrolytic gas are hydrogen (40 - 50 %), carbon dioxide (20 \u2013 25 %), carbon monoxide (15 \u2013 25 %) and methane (7 \u2013 10 %). For most of pyrolysed composts the production of gases decreases in given order: hydrogen > carbon dioxide > carbon monoxide > methane > hydrocarbons. It was proved that the compost with high lignin content and simultaneously low cellulose content produce pyrolytic gas with the highest hydrogen proportion. A significant dependence of the carbon monoxide proportion in pyrolytic gas on the potassium content was found out (r = 0.79). The pyrolysis of compost from clover grass mixture with energy yield 17.98 TJ.m-3 is definitely the most favorable from the point of view of energetic utilisation of the pyrolytic gas, the least beneficial is the pyrolysis of compost of Hybrid LOFA with energy yield 5,77 TJ.m-3."@en .
