At the present time assessing criteria of compost maturity are missing. The article presents the comparison of possible utilization of ratios calculated for products of pyrolytical decomposition of major biomass components with aim to determine mineralization and humification. These parameters were studied for free kinds of compost with different input components. The most important is ratio O/Y (pyrol/phenol) which represents the comparison of mineralized component and stable component of compost. In addition, two other ratios are important: the ratio K1/f (hydroxipropanone/furanmenthol) which characterizes the decomposition of celullose and hemicellulose, and the ratio K1/FK (hydroxipropanone/furancarboxaldehyde) which corresponds to the undercomposed celullose."@en . . .
