This was especially intensive use of energy from water, wind or biomass. The strategic importance of fossil energy sources began to be attached to during the period of the industrial revolution, when there were major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, transport and other economic sectors. This was especially intensive use of energy from coal and steam until the late 19th century. In the early 20th century has become a global fuel-energy balance increasingly supplemented by oil and natural gas. These fossil fuels thus became the basis for modern energy base of the society. At the beginning of the new millennium, the global economy began to show several new features, the most significant feature was growing consumption of fossil fuels, which subsequently began to manifest itself in the rise of their prices due to a decline of available fossil fuels. Indefensibility of maintaining the current consumption of fossil fuels, however, didn\u2019t show growth only in prices but also in negative environmental and climate impacts on the global economy. For this reason, the hope for the future has become the renewable energy. The aim of the paper is at first to clarify the current structure of the global fuel-energy balance and at second outline the anticipated future use of renewable energy sources for the most important actors in the world economy, namely the European Union, the United States of America and China."@en .
