"The paper deals with the operational experience with the aim of assessment of two fluxing agents for slags, namely metallurgical fluorspar and briquetted fluxing agent based on Al2O3. Monitored operational heats were taken during steel treatment in the EAF in the foundry DSB EURO, s.r.o. Assessment of the desulphurization abilities and properties of the created slag in the reduction phase of steel production was the task of the operational experiment. Samples of steel for determination of desulphurization degree were taken for the assessment of particular heats. Steel samples for evaluation of chosen parameters were also taken. Basicity, content of easily reducible oxides, and CaO/ Al2O3 ratio belong among them.
