"Currently, mathematical modelling of the forming processes is widely used, with programming working on the basis of the finite element method. The aim of this experiment was to determine the decomposition CCT and DCCT diagrams of steel 42CrMo4 and simulate mathematically the process of cooling of the laboratory rolled products, made of the investigated steel. The decomposition diagrams were determined for the austenitizing temperature 850 \u00B0C, with dwell time on temperature 20 minutes. Results of the mathematical modelling of the controlled cooling of steel 42CrMo4 confirmed that the resulting structural and mechanical properties of the investigated steel are really only influenced by the chosen mode of cooling the samples. Cooling of samples in the free air resulted in the origin of the microstructure formed by hardening phases, which led also to higher resulting mechanical properties, as compared to samples cooled in the furnace."@en .
