Its variety has a significant influence on production capacity of the plants involved. The current approach towards planning and management of production capacity in plants manufacturing heavy plate shapes, based on very rough typical production representatives, does not allow optimising the capacity utilization. This causes problems concerning the performance of the required financial and volume production indicators, as well as problems in keeping the order execution terms. The report presents a procedure used for setting unit output of flame cutting machines in dependence on the processed assortment which represents a basic prerequisite for elimination of such problems. The suggested procedure results from a general relation used for calculating the cyclic process performance. It is necessary to determine the machine rhythm and the weight of shapes processed in a single flame cutting cycle. At the" . "61" . "4"^^ . . .
