"The subject of this article was to analyse the corrosion problems in flue gas desuphurization (FGD) and to suggest optimal solution for the choice of materials. The corrosion damagesuffered by the medium and higher alloyed materials was limited localised corrosion. It can be stated that the materials witch can cope best with the flue gas environments are the higher-alloyed CrNiMo steels and Ni alloys sufficient Cr and Mo content and exhibiting a highly stable passive state."@en .
