Their thermal output is influenced by the purity of the thermal exchange internal & external surfaces. By a normal operation of these coolers the dirt-sediment is encrusted on top of both sides of the heat-exchange area thus reducing the cooling effect. The article presents a cooler thermal output calculation procedure by two methods. The first one is a balance method, the second one is based on the formulas applied for the heat transfer between natural gas and cooling air. The calculation is made for the clean heat-exchange area and for the dust-clogged area with the thickness of dirt layer being 0,9 mm on the external side and 0 to 7 mm on the internal side."@en . .
