"There are evaluated causalities connected with decrease of oxide component dominant base of ceramic filter at molten steel filtration in the paper. Slag coating is formed on the surface of capillaries during filtration at flow of molten filtered steel. Oxide of basic component of this ceramics is removed from slag coating. Content of basic oxide in the coating is much lower than in ceramics not being in direct contact with melt. Correlation relationships between decrease of basic oxide of ceramics and Gibbs energy of its formation expressed by equation presented in paper demonstrate that decreases are function of product relevant oxide Gibbs energy and its initial concentration in ceramic filter.
