"The paper is focused on evaluation of two heats of duplex stainless steel, containing 22 % of Cr and 5% of Ni, to sulphide stress cracking (SSC) with regard to their characteristics of surface roughness. Steels were tested in initial state after rolling and solution annealing and after laboratory annealings, the aim of which was to provoke phase \u03C3 formation. Annealing at temperatures 675 0C and 800 0C resulted in phase \u03C3 precipitation at the ferrite/austenite interface. SSC tests were carried out in accordance to NACE TM 0177-03. It seems, resistance of duplex steels to SSC can be also affected with occurrence of ?micro-notches? on test parts of tensile test specimens."@en .
