"This paper is focused on preparation of intermetallic alloys based on TiAl. These alloys are very perspective materials in automotive and aeronautical industry. Preparation of these alloys were devided into two stages. In the first stage the ingots with selected chemical composition were prepared by plasma metallurgy. Casts from various types of alloys were prepared by vacuum-induction metallurgy in the second stage of preparation. Metallography evaluates of microstructure, measurement of microhardness and gass content measurement (oxygen and nitrogen) were performed after each stage of metallurgical preparation."@en . .
