"Work was focused on steels with increased sulphur contents, the main characteristic feature of which is their improved machinability. Apart from sulphur the contents of other elements in low range was also important, particularly that of aluminium, calcium and oxygen. Main objective was observation of behaviour of oxidic, and possibly also sulphidic inclusions in liquid steel. Steel grades C35RKL and 30MNVS6 were chosen. At the first stage properties and production technologies of both grades were compared. At the second stage chemical compositions were compared and at the third stage micro-purity of steel was observed from the viewpoint of development of inclusions, with focus on number, area, size and type of inclusions in liquid steel beginning from argon-blowing unit, passing through ladle furnace and vacuum unit and ending up in tundish."@en . .
