"The possibility of studying the oxidic melts surface tension. The aim of the presented study is to analyse some of the theoretical and experimental study methods of the liquid phase surface tension. Their basic evaluative criterion presents the possibility of application on metallurgical melts, considering the choice of heating interval, character changes of the studied phase during the heating and assumed surface tension values. In these consequences, there has been discussed mainly the experimental method for measurement of the maximal tension in the bubble and the method of the lying drop; with respect to the possibility of using some of the mathematical models for the surface tension assessment of polycomponent systems. Considering the fact, that into the measuring apparatus there has been included the CCD - camera and thanks to the following data transmission into PC, in our workplace there has been obtained higher exactness of the method of the lying drop.
