"In this study, the ability of the plant biomass (Reynoutria japonica) to bind up chromium Cr (III) ions has been studied. The research was carried out on a pilot plant activated biosorbent PAB 0,5 and PAB 2,5. The results of this biosorption study revealed that the rate and extent of uptake were affected by pH level, protonated biomass, contact time and initial chromium concentration. The maximum uptake of metals ions was obtained at pH 5.0 by biosorbent PAB 0,5. For the reuse of biomass, the biosorbent PAB 0,5 was regenerated using 0.2M H2SO4.
