"This work deals with developing method of optical detection, analysis and technical interpretation of the geometrical parameters of the surface topography created by hydroabrasive dividing (AWJ) to draft an automated method of monitoring and performance management and production quality. Based on the analysis and interpretation of obtained data from samples surface is derived analytical form of topographical function Ra = f (vp, vdef, E, \u03C3rz, h) for the material. At this formula is vp [mm/min] the speed of technological head displacement, vdef [s-1] is the strain rate in the material at existent technological conditions of hydroabrasive dividing by hydroabrasive jet, E [MPa] is the Young's modulus of elasticity of dividing material, \u03C3rz [MPa] is natural deformation resistance and h [mm] is the instantaneous depth of the dividing cut.
