In the current situation mainly text data are used for these purposes. In our work we focus on information that is saved in images of the faces of potential users of a social network. Since there are hundreds of photos from almost every user of a social network online, if we find a way to analyze them effectively then we can suggest to the user new contacts. These new contacts will be more relevant than these which come from current methods for friend suggestions. The experimental algorithm for the new way of suggestions is described in this paper. The algorithm uses tools that are freely available for any user, which was one of our main targets. The results of the testing show that our algorithm is successful during new contact suggestions."@en . "Recommending New Links in Social Networks Using Face Recognition"@en . .
