The inverter and the machine - products of Siemens - are water-cooled. Original control system by Siemens used vector control running on SAB80517 processor. Firstly the drive was modified, so it could be controlled by various control systems. Then the new inverter was built to which various control systems can be connected. The paper solves implementation of the more powerful control system with vector control using TMS320C40 or TMS320F2812 signal processor.
