DVs)."@cs . . "The research was centred on applicability rate analysis of genetic algorithm technique (GA) for solution of shape optimization of bodies in contact. This analysis was carried out from the engineering practice conditions and needs point of view. The tools for this analysis were optimizing calculations carried out for contact problem spanner-nut. The results, achieved by realized optimization method and their analysis, make it possible to formulate following conclusions: the best shape for every generation was feasible, e.i. it fulfilled state conditions, the searched minimum was found usually for relatively low generation order, and the systematic drop of target function with growing generation number preceded finding the best solution.It is possible, on the base of research described in this paper, to recommend optimizing technique based on GA for optimization of engineering problems with contacts. Successful usage of this optimizing technique is dependent on solution convergence of contact problem."@en . .
