"Uncontrolled combustion of dangerous substance as in the case of industrial fires leads due to incomplete combustion to the huge emission of soot particles, burnt gases and combustion by-products. Laboratory flame studies are useful as partial step when investigating physical and chemical phenomena involved in simulated environment of laboratory flame as well as in the case of real fires. Spatially resolved measurement of reactive intermediates in flame represents one of important ways of understanding combustion chemistry. This article summarizes methods and experimental techniques used when dealing with laboratory flames diagnostics. Finally these approaches are incorporated into proposed strategy for studying and modelling the phenomenon of atmospheric emission from industrial fires."@en .
