"The paper briefly discusses a linear elastic modelling of masonry structures in case when for some reason it is required to include uncertainities in input data to the computation. The presented concept utilises the Monte Carlo simulation based SBRA method (this method is introduced and developed by professor Pavel Marek from UTAM Prague) for the reliability side of the problem and the Finite Element Method for the structural analysis. The SBRA method is implemented here through a special computer code called %22Monte%22 (designed by Brozovsky and Konecny) that allows to use of different computational backends for a structural analysis. One of the possible backends is the uFEM finite element method code that is developed at FAST VSB-TU Ostrava. This particular combination of program codes was used in the works described in the article, while professional finite element software ANSYS was used for the verification of structural results."@en .
