"Reliability Assessment of the semi-rigid joints of the Steel Structures by the SBRA Method"@en . . . "Advances in computer technology make possible transition from current structural reliability assessment methods (such as the Partial Reliability Factors Method, PRFM) to probabilistic methods using the simulation technique (such as SBRA method). This study focuses attention on the reliability assessment of steel structures containing semi-rigid joints. The SBRA reliability assessment approach is explained and compared with the Partial Reliability Factors method, PRFM, applied in codes (see, e.g., Eurocode). The differences between the the SBRA method and PRFM are specified and discussed. In order to allow comparsion of the results obtained according to the SBRA method and PRFM, the differences between moment-rotation characteristics M-? of the semi-rigid joints according to the both mentioned methods are specified first. Next is analyzed the response of a simple planar steel frame (containing semi-rigid joints) to the vertical and horizontal load effects combination taking into account the 2nd order" . .
