"The most commonly used magnesium alloy AZ91 is widely prevalent as a structural material, but its use is limited at higher temperatures and high humidity. Plasma spraying technology allows to prepared protective metallic and non-metallic coatings on magnesium and its alloys. The alloy AZ91 was therefore plasma sprayed by pure nickel, which has the potential to create an interface with a magnesium alloy intermetallic phase. With regard to the need for greater thermal expansion sprayed layers were also sprayed alloy NiAl10 and NiAl40. The work focuses on optimizing process of plasma spraying and influence key parameter, which is a substrate temperature of magnesium alloy.
