Proto rozd\u011Blen\u00EDm tunelu na dva segmenty m\u016F\u017Ee b\u00FDt iontov\u00E1 teplota nalezena z pom\u011Br\u016F proud\u016F na tyto segmenty. V\u00FDhoda je, \u017Ee sonda pracuje v DC re\u017Eimu a poskytuje tud\u00ED\u017E mo\u017Enost rychl\u00E9ho m\u011B\u0159en\u00ED iontov\u00E9 teploty stejn\u011B jako hustoty iontov\u00E9ho proudu. A new kind of the robust Langmuir probe, the so-called segmented tunnel probe, was designed for this purpose. We show, that the ion distribution along the tunnel decays with a characteristic scale length, which is a function of the ion temperature. Therefore, by dividing the tunnel into two segments, the ion temperature can be found from the ratio of ion current to the first and the second segment. The advantage is that the probe is operated in DC mode and thus provides fast measurements of ion temperature as well as of the parallel ion current density.
