"The paper is concerned with computational simulation of air flow in the individual parts of a synchronous machine. Software FLUENT 6 was used for computational modeling. CFD model of machine fan was built, which was used for calculation of ventilation characteristics. Ventilation characteristics were calculated for three ventilator diameters. The aim was to find operating point for each fan. The results of computer simulation are compared with the measurement, which was accomplished on the synchronous generator using pitot tube and digital micro manometer."@en .
