"%22Aim of the study was to evaluate bioarteficial liver (BAL) and Fractionated plasma separation and adsorption (FPSA) in the treatment of acute liver failure in the experiment. Methods: minipigs with experimental acute liver failure (ALF) by surgical devascularization with portocaval by-pass were treated by BAL or FPSA. The values of the indicators of ALF including intracranial pressure (ICP) were measured. The results were compared to control group without BAL and FPSA treatment. Results: We have proved decrease of serum bilirubin and value of intracranial pressure in FPSA group (Prometheus system). In the BAL group (OLiver Performer system) bilirubin plasma concentration has significantly changed but ICP values were changed not significantly. FPSA (Prom\u00E9theus) is effective in the treatment of acute liver failure on level ROLE 3 Hospitals."@en . .
