In the long term, research in ALMA is conducted in three fundamental specialisations. Methodical research covers the testing and development of micro-analytical and non-invasive methods for investigation of works of art; within the material research, ALMA studies art materials from the viewpoint of their origin, preparation, composition, technological properties and secondary changes that often take place as a result of interactions in the paint layer, or interaction with the environment. This article summarizes the most important results published in international scientific journals."@en .
