It is based on a heating of contaminated materials and a transition of contaminants into vapors, which are transported to a condensator. The aim of the presented work was the use of molecular spectroscopy in the monitoring of the influence of organic matter on the efficiency of thermal desorption of soils. The infrared spectrometry with Fourier transformation was applied to analyse organic matter structure. Effeciency and kinetics of thermal desorption was also determined.
