"In this contribution we report our experience with digital reconstruction of three-dimensional structure of porous polyolefin particles from X-ray micro-tomography data. Three polyolefin particles were scanned on micro-tomograph and subsequently reconstructed. Their morphology is characterized by: (i) particle porosity, (ii) distance transform function and (iii) degassing characteristics. The influence of several parameters important during the process of scanning and reconstruction on the resulting particles morphology is discussed as well as the overall validity of the presented methodology." .
