The first method uses a virtual solution of the tracer, having the same physical properties as the bulk. We tested another method, using particles with %22no%22 mass, momentum or buoyancy as a tracer, in order to simplify the solution. Software package from Fluent Inc. was used for CFD simulations. Specialized pre processor for mixing applications, MixSim in versions 1.7 and 2.0 and pre-processor Gambit 2.1 were used for defining the mixing tank configuration and for the grid generation. In all cases, the Multiple Reference Frames technique together with the standard k-? turbulence model was used. FLUENT 6.1 was employed for the calculations."@en . . .
