"Microscopic filamentous fungi of the Fusarium, Alternaria, Claviceps, Penicillium, or Asperigillus genera represent important pathogens infecting field barley. Mycotoxins produced can be a health risk for humans and livestock. The aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of genetic and agronomical factors on the occurrence of mycotoxins in spring barley. In total, 39 varieties of barley grown in several locations within the Czech Republic were analyzed. Resistance of barley against accumulation of mycotoxins was monitored. Further, influence of growing locality and fungicide treatment was tested. Experiments were carried out both on naturally infected, and on artificially inoculated barley."@en . .
