"The work was aimed at growth suppression of cultured listeria strains by cultured lactococci strains or commercial mesophilic cheese cultures during common cultivations in the model UHT milk system (0.5 % w/w milk fat content) at 30 \u00B0C during 18 h. Milk was primarily fermented by lactococci (inoculum 108 CFU ml-1) and secondarily contaminated by listerias (inoculum 103 CFU ml-1). The most intensive growth suppression of both Listeria innocua (5884 and Ln-03) strains was occurred by Lactococcus lactis ssp. lactis (LCC 416 or CHCC 2281) strains or by DELVO-ADD? 100-X DSF mesophilic cheese culture; inhibition listerias from 103 CFU ml-1 to100 CFU ml-1.
