Specifically it is an antiepileptic sodium valproate, three iodinated contrast agents Iomeron 400, Omnipaque 350 and Telebrix 35 and two additive substances trometamol and Na2CaEDTA. Three standard methods were used to assess the biodegradability of these substances, method by analysis of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD test), method by analysis of inorganic carbon in sealed vessels (CO2 headspace test) and Zahn-Wellen?s method. Activated sludge without prior adaptation was used as inoculum for tests with an agglomerated biomass, BOD tests were inoculated with a runoff from biological wastewater treatment plant."@en . .
