"This work is a comparison of removal of arsenic oxoanions from contaminated drinking water resources by strong and weak base anion exchangers, synthetic sorbent having 1-deoxy-1-methylamino-glucitol functional group, ferric oxide sorbent and ferric oxide composites. All presented results were obtained by dynamic column tests that were carried out using model solution containing arsenic and accompanying anions (chlorides and sulfates). The specific flow rate of solution was 6BV.h-1. All the studied sorbents performed well in the absence of accompanying anions while in the presence of sulfates and chlorides breakthrough capacities decreased.
