It is based on direct/indirect heating of solid contaminated material. When the problems connected with cleaning of gaseous and liquid products, granulometry and moisture of input material are not considered, the slow heat transfer is the basic trouble for economical operation of this technology. Consequential point for correct assessment of process efficiency is the right analytical procedure and sense of recovery. For the recovery of hexachlorocyclohexane under various extraction conditions, six solid samples were tested.
