"The wastewater, surface water and even drinking water contain not only naturally occurring organic compounds but also traces of various organic substances of an anthropogenic origin, which represent many health and ecological risks. The presence of drugs, their metabolites and conjugates in water ecosystems and their influence on human health is now of a great interest and importance. Within the context of these facts the phytoremediation\u00B4s ability from simulated water solution of selected drugs was demonstrated at selected sunflower (Helliathus Annuus) cultivars Belem and Extrasol. The used drugs were selected from the group of worldwide used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pharmaceuticals. Ibuprofen, naproxen and diclofenac were chosen for our tests."@en .
