"Study of biofilm formation and biological stability of drinking water are very important measures to prevent drinking water quality deterioration during water distribution. In our project 1G58052 we are interested in problems of impact on drinking water quality degradation in time of accumulation and distribution. We are solving the characteristic and structure of biofilms, air contamination, methods of sampling, physical-chemical and chemical processes, hydraulics parameters, structural and constructive configuration of water storage tanks (accumulations). A suitable proposal of a filter unit was another step in comprehensive monitoring. The filtration unit consists of six separately mounted filter units of a defined filter area, covered by two grids and fixed in a frame in the wall. This unit has been gradually mounted in ventilation holes in the accumulation area.
