"Chelating resins represents powerful tool for removal of low concentration of heavy metals in water. Higher stability of complex formed between ionex and metal enables to treat also wastewater containing organic complexes. The complex stability is dependent on pH of environment. By setting of ionex operating pH it is possible to influence selectivity of sorption towards metals with more stable complex with ionex. Ionex resin Purolite A832 was used in present work. The aim was to find optimal conditions for selective removal of copper. With decreasing pH strong increase of selectivity was found.
