"In addition to X-ray fluorescence analyses of 7 samples, trace elements were determined by ICPMS after dissolution in 15% HCl in selected marbles of Moldanubicum (Krty), Metamorphic Islet zone (Nerestce- Horosedly) and Kutn\u00E1 Hora crystalline unit (T\u0159ebon\u00EDn). Samples Nerestce and T\u0159ebon\u00EDn preserved a distinct negative cerium anomaly, despite the fact that at the T\u0159ebon\u00EDn locality, the marble is finely intercalated with a schist of contrasting composition (low Ca, Sr, high K, Ba). In the analysed Moldanubian marble, the REE abundance is very low and mutual ratios of individual REEs cannot be evaluated; it is also possible that the REE content is controlled mainly by apatite. The results show that the cerium anomaly is a good paleoenvironmental and chemostratigraphic indicator even in strongly metamorphosed limestones, and that it has worth to select soluble fraction as the representative of the original carbonate REE patterns even after metamorphism."@en .
