Three various powder photocatalysts, namely P25 (Degussa) and anatase Tit 1 and Tit 2 of a Czech production, were used and three different techniques, i.e., spraying, electrophoresis and dip-coating, were applied. The prepared films were characterized by SEM, XRD and BET methods. At first the photoactivity of prepared particulate films was compared with the photoactivity of original powder photocatalysts in aqueous suspension. It is worth to note that the high surface area of Tit 2 photocatalyst was effectively utilised only after an ultrasonic pre-treatment that probably caused a breakage the particle agglomerates. It was found that the crucial parameter is the amount of deposited photocatalyst while the applied procedure of the layer deposition had practically no effect on the resulting photoactivity."@en .
