"Retention capacity was assessed in a micro catchment Modrava 2 (0.17 km2) in the Bohemian Forest National Park (\u0160umava Mts.). For the analysis nine rainfall-runoff events with specific peak discharge higher than 0.3 m3.s-1km-2 and without influence of snow precipitation or snowmelt were chosen. The difference between rainfall depth and runoff depth was considered as an indicator of retention. Antecedent rainfall in previous five days was also evaluated. Results indicate large values of water retention in mountain areas of the \u0160umava Mts., which can be larger than 100 mm. Runoff coefficient was less than 0.5 for all chosen events."@en .
