"Reaction of roots in different depths of soil depending on botanical composition and different fertilization was examined on a fertile valley meadow of mesophytic to mezohygrophitic nature in village of \u010Cern\u00EDkovice (district of Bene\u0161ov), 363 m a.s.l., with average annual temperature of 7,8 \u00B0C and precipitation total of 664 mm per year. The experiment is organized by method of random blocks in four repetitions. Size of experimental elements was 30m2 (5m x 6 m). There were following types of fertilization: N0 (control) N0 P40 K100 \u2013 N50 P40 K100 \u2013 N100 P40 K100 \u2013 N150 P40 K100 \u2013 N200 P40 K100. In summer 2006 the cover of botanical composition was visually estimated and root biomass was taken from depth of 150 mm by root sound with diameter of 45 mm. We recognized these following functional groups: grasses, legumes and herbs. Botanical composition increases amount of roots to the depth of 50 mm, especially in parcels with high dosage of nitrogen (150 a 200 kg.ha-1) by reason of domination of grasses. A"@en . "5"^^ . .
