"This article evaluates a change of emission production of polluting matter and greenhouse gas emission depending on the sort of use fuel. The fuel, we have chosen, were comon diesel fuel and diesel fuel contained 20 % of ethanol. The tested engine was the tractor engine Zetor 7701. For an evaluation of environmental benefit of ethanol adding into diesel fuel the special program (which had been made in the Dept. of Vehicles and Ground Transport, Czech Life Sciences Prague) was used. This program is able to simulate the engine transien cycles. Non Road Transient Cycle (NRTC) was chosen from those cycles, which is determined for the non road vehicle homologation. The input parameters for the simulation were the whole engine characteristics, which had been measured on the test bed. In the first step, the emission characteristics and fuel consumptions were measured, when normal diesel fuel was used. In the next step the same measuring was done, while using the second fuel with ethanol. The results of these simulations are the average specific values of fuel consumption and production of individual emission components in the homologation cycle for both fuels.
