"The purpose of this paper is to discourse the potential of maps from a soil conductivity instrument to help interpret soil differences within field. The two primary methods of measuring soil conductivity are by electromagnetic induction or by means of direct contact. Electrical conductivity measurements of soil have long been used to identify soil differences in the geological and archaeological researching. New opportunity for applications of an electrical conductivity maps are in recultivations of landscape and in precision farming to assist in decision-making process. One of the application in precision farming is to view this data in conjuction whit other information layer like yield map, fertility sampling data, soil survey, agronomist's historical knowledge etc. by GIS software. It can reduce cost of inputs such as seed, fertilizer, protection chemicals, maximize yields, and benefit the environment.
