"The aim of the research was to test the possibility of decrease of the content of white and black peat in potting substrates from 82-99 % to 39 % through addition of construction and demolition wastes [CDW] and green wastes [GW]. Microbial biomass [MBC], K2SO4 extractable C [CE], ratio MBC/Corg, ratio CE/MBC, respiration B, N and NG, ratios N/B and NG/B, arylsulfatase activity [ASA] and dehydrogenase activity [DHA] were used as microbiological criteria. Diameter of root collar, length, weight and number of leaves, length and weight of root and number of perish plants were used as producing criteria. Dry matter of potting substrate at the level of 41-50 % during ripening process is the most important easily measured parameter with direct connection up the more microbiological and other criteria. Statistically highly significant correlation was found among dry matter, MBC, CE, respiration NG and pH (H2O).
