"The paper attempts to judge differences in reaction to water stress and clarify some of the physiological mechanisms in three different genotypes of spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) \u2013 Jersey, Malz, and Valtick\u00FD that condition reactions to water stress at leaf level. We observed the physiological parameters in control \u2013 70% maximum capilar water capacity (θMCC) and stressed (30% θMKK) variants. Water stress was induced at the beginning of shooting (31.DC) by decreasing water level to 30% θMKK for 10 days. Then was water level increased back to 70% θMKK. Water saturation deficit (WSD) and relative water content (RWC) were observed as two indicators of water state in plants.
