"Actual phytoremediation technologies use several strategies to stabilization or extraction of trace elements from contaminated environment. The most frequent technology uses phytoextraction - the uptake of trace elements by plant and their accumulation in harvestable plant parts. In our experiment phytoextraction capability of several plant species was tested. We confirmed accumulation capacity of tested hyperaccumulator species and fast growing trees. Phytoextraction capability could be identified as total biomass contents in above ground plant parts as well as concentration in soil solution of particular plant species.
