"The paper deals with an analysis of price transmissions in a selected part of the pork agri-food chain in the Czech Republic. The analysis is focused on both, the vertical price transmission between agricultural and processing markets and the horizontal price transmission in the agricultural and processing markets in the Czech Republic and its individual regions. The analysis is based on a time series of bi-weekly data within the period of 2004 \u2013 2007 and it employs the VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) to model the price transmissions. The results show that significant differences exist among the regional price transmissions and also at the aggregate level. The analysis suggests that there is no market power abuse at the aggregate level but this might not be the case on the regional markets. The same differences are also found in an evaluation of the long-term relationship and simultaneity.
