"In our competition society are the food producers forced to find methods how to determine the chance of the product on the market before its introduction. Most consumers decide on the basis of price, information published by the producer and their own visual and sensor appreciation. The sensor appreciation of the selected kind of food by 150 consumers was done using scouring preferential method and method of the lexical description. The results were processed by classical statistical methods. The consumer appreciation of the product and consumer decision was modeled using fuzzy logic, which enables mathematical formalization of the man sensation and it\u2019s further processing. The principal of this method is application of the Fuzzy set theory in development of the algorithms for food appreciation. The modeling and development of the fuzzy formulas for selected sorts of food was done by computer program MATLAB.
