"4"^^ . "THE CHANGE OF NOTCH TOUGHNESS PARAMETERS OF STEEL AFTER APPLICATION OF PLASMA NITRIDING"@en . "http://vavtest.unob.cz/registr" . "The plasma nitriding is currently one of the most used technologies of the chemical-thermal treatment. This work deals the change of the notch toughness parameters of DIN 1654/4 steel (ČSN 41 2042.4) which was plasma nitrided under selected nitriding conditions: plasma sputtering (cleaning) at 480 (°C), nitriding at 500 (°C), process duration t = 10 and 20 (h), p = 280 (Pa), U = 530 (V) and variable gas mixture ratio of 24N2: 8H2 (l/h) and 8N2: 24H2 (l/h). The work confirmed that nitrided steel became more brittle but that for different gas composition, the notch toughness behaves quite distinctly. The toughness of steel increases with extension of time for gas ratio 24H2: 8N2 (l/h), but for gas ratio 8H2: 24N2 (l/h), the toughness decreases slightly with nitriding.duration."@en .
