"The aim of this paper is to examine and provide new evidence on changes in the costs of armaments projects shared by several national governments. In particular, the paper focuses on transaction costs and their components. Based on current transaction costs theory, the paper defines individual transaction costs and collective transaction costs, connected with the functioning of given weapon systems clubs. Using the results of an international survey, the paper further analyzes developments and dependences anticipated among variables, which are decisive for the resulting amount of given armaments project costs. The results of these analyses indicate general anticipation of decreased total project costs in case of international sharing of given armaments project, along with increased project transparency, which can be viewed as one of the important factors of decreased total costs. Similarly, transaction cost anticipated behavior indicated an unchanged level or a moderate decrease if several national governments decide to share given armaments project. Individual transaction costs are to decrease and therefore, contribute to the decrease of internationally shared armaments project total costs. On the contrary, collective transaction costs are to grow, however, up to the extent corresponding with the decrease of individual transaction costs." . "http://vavtest.unob.cz/registr" . . . .
